German Society for Cardiovascular Engineering (GSCE) Flipped Classroom (EDU-601-040121)

This is one of five 2021 AmSECT International Conference flipped classrooms featuring interviews by leaders from International perfusion societies who are discussing the development of their perfusion practice standards and guidelines (S&G).

This class features the S&G development by the German Society for Cardiovascular Engineering. Dr. Adrian Bauer PhD, ECCP - President of the GSCE (German Society for Cardiovascular Engineering), Department Head of Cardiovascular Perfusion at MediClin Heart Centre Coswig Germany, and Sebastian Schmidt, ECCP - Guideline Coordinator for GSCE, clinical perfusionist at Kerckhoff-Clinic Bad Nauheim, Germany.

By the end of this module the learner will be able to:

1. To understand the S&G development process employed by the national society.

2. To appreciate the steps that the society leaders employed to develop their S&G document.

3. To be able to review the published S&G document from the national society.

As AmSECT University relaunches its professional continuing education website, we are required by the ABCP to resubmit our application for Category I Self Directed Continuing Education (SDCE) for Category I CEUs. AmSECT University has begun this process. At the completion of your course, your certificate will say “pending one (1) ABCP Category I CEU”. You will be notified to reprint your certificates once approval has been granted.

Per the ABCP, a maximum of ten (10) SDCE I CEUs may be used for professional activity recertification within a three-year reporting cycle. Members may submit additional Category III CEUs.
